Common Questions about Appraisals:
How much does an appraisal cost?
For jewelry created by AW Jewelry, appraisals cost $100. For jewelry brought into us, it is $240 for the first appraisal and $180 for each additional appraisal needed. Prices are subject to change. Our three-page detailed appraisals specify all materials and gems. They include digital photos and an insurance replacement value.
Is an appraisal the same as jewelry insurance?
An appraisal is the step you take before insuring your jewelry. Jewelry insurance providers often ask for an appraisal to help determine the cost to replace jewelry under their plans.
Is my appraisal value the same as its resale value?
While appraisals can contribute to resale value, they are not the same. Appraisals are mainly used for insurance value, which is often more than the resale value of your jewelry.
How do I get jewelry insurance?
AW Jewelry has a partnership with BriteCo for jewelry insurance. However, our appraisals are accepted by all national jewelry insurance companies. It is helpful to compare and contrast different insurance plans depending on the type of coverage and how convenient it is for you.
