At AW Jewelry, we make the custom jewelry creation process as seamless and transparent as possible.
Step 1: Initial Consultation and Design Visuals
- Begin with a consultation to discuss your ideas, styles, and preferences with our jewelry design professional. During this step, we also establish a target budget to ensure alignment.
- A deposit is required to start the design process.
- After the consultation, we aim to provide design visuals (sketches or CAD designs) within 48 hours, though this may vary depending on the project.
- For designs requiring gemstone selection, we prioritize sourcing the perfect stones first.
Step 2: Design Iterations and Approval
- Once gemstones are selected, we provide CAD visuals and design iterations within 24-72 hours.
- For projects with clear visions, such as a “1ct pear diamond solitaire with a hidden halo,” we often skip extensive sketching and move directly to CAD.
For more detailed projects, we may create 2-5 hand-drawn sketches and a curated mood board of your ideas.
These designs are typically ready within 1-7 days, and additional rounds of sketches can be done as needed.After your approval, we refine the design and finalize it in CAD.
Step 3: Manufacturing and Delivery
- After design approval, we will provide a detailed quote for the piece.
- The deposit is applied toward the final cost.
Production time varies based on the complexity of the design:
–Simple designs (solitaire rings, halo pendants): 1-3 weeks
–Detailed designs (intricate engagement rings): 3-5 weeks
–Elaborate designs (sculptural, or high jewelry items): 5-8 weeks or more
Rush orders are often possible. Please discuss your timeline with our team, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Some rush orders may incur an additional charge.

When will I know how much my custom design will cost?
During the consultation, we discuss your target budget to ensure we’re aligned. The final cost is provided in the quote after the design is approved.
When do I pay for my custom design?
A deposit is required to start the process. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the piece.

What is your refund policy?

Our refund policy varies by item type:
- Ready-to-Order Rings and Jewelry: Items can be returned within 14 days of delivery if they are in original, unworn condition with tags and packaging. Customers are responsible for return shipping.
- Made-to-Order Designs These items are considered special orders and cannot be restocked. Orders can be canceled within 24 hours for a full refund. After 24 hours, they are non-refundable.
- Custom Jewelry: Due to their highly personalized nature, custom jewelry items are non-refundable. All transactions made during the custom design process are final.
